. . . so I'm giving the kids a bath tonight and Rachel says, "Mom, I'm so strong, I bet I could lift you."
"Well, you're welcome to try," I reply. "But as the baby inside me grows, I'm going to keep getting heavier and heavier until he or she is born."
She looks me straight in the eye and says, "Well, if you get much heavier, only God will be able to lift you."

Well, maybe it is true...
She sure says the funniest things!

And so she is soooo strong that only God is stronger?? Ha! That is 4 yr old thinking! Ask her if God is strong enough to pick up Grandma? If the answer is too painful, don't tell me! mm
HAHAHAHA! That's a good one! Leave it to the little ones to make you feel great! Well, you'd find it even less funny at 8.5 mos pregnant. I wanted to also say Welcome to the minivan club. It's so cool when the Lord provides specifically and obviously for our needs.
When Shan was about 6, I was visiting a very dear friend who was 8 months pregnant and had just been *whining* about how big she was. I had been trying to encourage her, when Shan walked in and went to give Faye her normal greeting of a hug. Shan placed her arms around Faye and then leaned her head back and proclaimed "Boy are you FAT!"
Nothing like a child's encouragment! Faye did laugh later (about 2 years later actually!)
it's a good thing you aren't insecure about your figure........right?
The neat thing about what Rachel said is it's true!! Truley, only God can lift us! Out of the mouths of babes! lg
I guess I never thought about it that way! It is cool the way she has this absolute confidence in God - that He is bigger and stronger than anyone or anything. I hope she never loses that.
