yada yada yada

I'll keep this short:

Last night, around 6:30, as we were getting ready to go to LIFE group, I had another attack, surpassed only by the attack that put me in the hospital 4 weeks ago. Besides the pain and "flushing", several new (non-blog-appropriate) symptoms cropped up.

The good news is:

1. My appointment with the GI specialist is scheduled for tomorrow at 1:30 in Beavercreek.
2. I am feeling much better this morning and able to function pretty well.
3. Our family doctor said the new symptoms may have helped him to figure out what's going on. He's going to be talking to the specialist about running some additional tests.

God has been working on me, telling me to swallow my pride and just let you know that I can use your prayers right now. All this stuff scares the kids (especially last night - for the first time it happened while they were awake), and puts a lot of extra stress on Danny (which he won't admit to, but I know it does). And it's not too pleasant for me, either. So if you have a chance today & tomorrow, I would really appreciate your prayers.

(BTW, your M-I-L beat you to it this morning and emailed our LIFE group asking for prayer on your behalf. So, you're covered, girl!)

I'm so sorry! I can't help, but think God allowed this one so close to your appointment to help them figure it out. I will be praying you get some answers! Keep us posted!

i wonder if that's why God brought you to mind last night when i couldn't sleep. i prayed for you and the specialist you'd be seeing, and will continue to pray. may God give you peace while you wait, for i think i'd be in near panic mode right now....

Thank you ALL for your prayers. We know that THAT is more powerful than ANYTHING - doctors, meds, treatments. And by the way, it was GOD'S WISDOM that helped the pediatrician figure out that 2 week old Zeke was one of the first cases of whooping cough in the area when no one knew what it really looked like. God is able!!!

I'm praying too, Charity. Since you sent your phone number, I have been sick as a dog with bronchitis. I decided that you would rather hear from me when you could actually recognize that it was me. I am so glad to hear that you are seeing a specialist. Fill us in how God answered our prayers, please.
Love you,
m

Sorry I didn't get to see you last night. The kids were concerned and we prayed for you. You would have felt even worse if you had seen how dirty they were. :0/
